The chemical formula ZrSi2 is zirconium silicide. This is a metallic gray rhombic, glossy crystal with a relative density 4.8822. Zirconium Silicide is insoluble, inorganic acid and aqua regia. However, it is soluble, hydrofluoric acid.

1. In a 20ml stainless Steel autoclave, add 5mmol zirconia, 5mmol silica powder, and 50mmol of lithium metal. Seal it. Place the autoclave inside an electric furnace with temperature control. The furnace should heat at 600°C. The reaction is allowed to cool to room temperature. After that, open the autoclave to get rid of the black sediment.
2. The reaction products were washed in distilled water. Next, they were washed with anhydrous ethanol and dilute chloric acid, respectively. After each washing, the product was placed in a vacuum drying oven drying for four hours. Zirconium silicide Nanomaterials was prepared based upon the quality of the raw zirconium dioxide used.
