magnesium chloride hexahydrate is an excellent source of magnesium in the form that is compatible with the many uses of this mineral. It has a wide range of applications in food preparation, health and personal well-being.

In some countries, it is used as a low-temperature de-icer of highways and parking lots in ice-related winter weather. This is done in order to prevent ice from bonding to the pavement, allowing snow plows to clear roads more efficiently.

It has also been found to be a promising phase change material (PCM) for storing thermal energy in solar cookers, as well as being studied for reducing the flammability of cotton fabrics.

Our magnesium chloride hexahydrate products are available as liquids, sprays and gels and can be applied topically to the skin for quick, effective relief of muscle tension and pain. It is also a good choice for transdermal magnesium therapy, which has been proven to be an effective way to increase magnesium levels without the potential side effects of oral supplements.

Doses vary between different products, but all contain at least 60 mg of elemental magnesium per ml. This is higher than many other magnesium salts, so it will be easier to absorb and will last longer on your skin.

The hexahydrate form of magnesium chloride is more concentrated than Epsom salts, which are made by soaking in a solution of sodium sulfate and water. In general, magnesium chloride hexahydrate is absorbed more slowly through the digestive system than Epsom salts and is not recommended for those with sensitive bowels.
