This exposure caused major alterations in the hepatic enzymes, protein and glycogen contents. These changes were lessened with the treatment of 2,3-dimercaptopropane 1-sulfonate. Moreover, fecal excretion of beryllium was marginally increased with the treatment of meso-2,3-dimercaptosuccinic acid.

Hepatic enzymes such as cytochrome P450, alkaline phosphatase and glucose-6-phosphatase were affected. In addition, lipid peroxidation was also affected. Furthermore, hepatic lesions were lessened with the use of meso-2,3-dimercaptosuccinic Acid.

Beryllium and nitrogen formula have a chemical structure that consists of a triple bond between two degenerate electron-sharing p bonds. Moreover, the distance between the Be-N bond is short.

Beryllium and nitrogen formula possesses a strong and low density and is very thermal conductor. Because of its high thermal conductivity, it is used in aerospace applications. On the other hand, it is toxic in dermal and inhalation contact.
