beryllium bromide is an excellent water-soluble crystalline beryllium source. It is available in ultra-high purity for certain crystal growth applications as well as high purity compositions for most other uses and research purposes. It is also available as elemental powders and nanoscale forms for specialized applications. [1] Note: Repeated exposure may cause beryllium disease.

Molecular structure: There are two known forms (polymorphs) of beryllium dibromide, one consisting of polytetrahedral coordination centers connected by doubly-bridging bromide ligands and the other resembling zinc iodide with interconnected adamantane-like cages.
